Brampton Travel Guide

I've lived in Brampton for almost 30 years and can't wait to get out of here. It was completely ruined by short sighted politicians who only cared about how fast the city grew. There was little thought given to planning an eye pleasing and vibrant community. As a result, it has become a sprawling hodge-podge of disconnected architecture that is nothing but an eyesore. The downtown core is a dead zone that even the new theatre will not help revitalize. There is little to see or do unless you like spending all your time at a mall. Night life is non-existent. Choice of restaurants leaves a lot to be desired. All in all, a poorly planned, boring town.

I would hate to be cruel - but you should avoid it. It's a huge, sprawling, suburban nightmare, spreading outward with cookie-cutter developments, and not a whole lot of interesting things to do (unless you really like car dealerships). The new theatre they built should help revitalize the downtown main street, though.
It's also been voted as one of the most dangerous places in Canada...

Pearson Airport is nearby, and lots of corporate headquarters and warehouses because rent is cheap. That's about all there is to say about Brampton.
