Best Time to Visit Ontario
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
If you want to splurge on a meal in a nice restaurant in Toronto, watch for special events called Summelicious and Winterlicious. During these times the best restaurants all offer special fixed price menus at a substantial savings from normal dining costs. Great way to sample the best of Toronto.

Beerbistro is a must visit for anyone who loves beer with food. Too much time and effort has been spent on pairing wine with food, when what one really wants is a beer. At Beer Bistro, they use their pallets to choose which beers got best with each meal. An AMAZING selection of beers (and their Frites are great, too)! Their lunch menu is reasonably priced for those on a budget.

The city is the safest place of the world, I guess. People are generally non-Canadian but friendly. The place I like most is Harbour Front because you can watch the lake, Toronto Island, sit on the grass, CN Tower at back and the tall shiny buildings at the same time. Sitting there is really relaxing. You can't find taxi whenever you want, if you find one, the driver might not know the roads. I myself directed the taxi driver even to the intersection of Yonge-Bloor. The intersection of Yonge and Bloor is not the best place to spend time. Dundas is better, more crowded, more activities, more shopping places. The subway stops in every 100 meters. So if you should go no more than 2 stations, walking is better. Because you spend all your time under ground and seing nothing.

For me, too cold and quiet city! There are couple of things you should visit..like CN Tower..but I had the best time visiting places that are close to Toronto. If you have a chance, you should visit Niagara Falls, and take a ride with the boat that goes really close to walls. It remindes me too much of west cities, which I don't like too much..

Ontario Internet & Communications
Toronto, Ontario, Canada

If you're looking for a place to stay in Downtown Toronto - don't stay at the Primrose Best Western on Carlton Street. It's dirty, the staff is unfriendly, the internet is very slow, the food is terrible; well, just don't stay here. I've been living in this Hotel from September '10 until April '11, and I very much regret my choice.

ever wondered what life is like for menonites? head to kitchener! 2 hours from Toronto is this hub for menonites /community. They have a market where you can see their trading skills in action and the famous carriages, they also have a museum that explains their history and which is quite fascinating. Loved this place, however beware that photography though accepted, can be percieved as quite intrusive. be clever and pack a good set of lenses so you wont be killed by a flying coliflower. enjoy this town!

I recommend Maid of the Mist, a good value and exciting ride. Do the trip in the morning so the sun isn't in your face spoiling your photo opportunities. Take a tissue as your lens will be constantly covered in moisture once you reach the falls.

Ontario Visas & Permits
London, Ontario, Canada
If you need to rent a car in London, Ontario don't use Enterprise (and certainly not the one on Wharncliffe Road South). From experience they have poor comprehension of customers needs and poor communication skills. Vehicle insurance is an additional cost which they fail to explain is charged at a daily rate, not the total cost, even when you speak with the staff in the branch. They don't understand the situation that foreigners find themselves in as the staff assume that the credit card they insist one uses offers vehicle insurance, which appears to be the case in Canada. Their insurance add on costs are exorbitant.

Costs in Ontario
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
The loveliest way to discover Toronto is to rent a bike and take a tour along the riverside, through the villa lanes and the beautiful nature/parks around the city (especially in fall)

It's a great get-away from the city because it is quiet and relaxing. Moreover, the Deerhurst Resort is amazing! (a little pricey though) The resort provides a lot of activities at your disposal, such as kayaking, swimming, hiking, as well as night shows indoors. There's a mini beach at one end of the resort which is connected to Lake Peninsula. The overall atmosphere is calm and the staff are friendly.
