Travel Tips for Transportation in Toronto

Toronto, Ontario, Canada
The city is the safest place of the world, I guess. People are generally non-Canadian but friendly. The place I like most is Harbour Front because you can watch the lake, Toronto Island, sit on the grass, CN Tower at back and the tall shiny buildings at the same time. Sitting there is really relaxing. You can't find taxi whenever you want, if you find one, the driver might not know the roads. I myself directed the taxi driver even to the intersection of Yonge-Bloor. The intersection of Yonge and Bloor is not the best place to spend time. Dundas is better, more crowded, more activities, more shopping places. The subway stops in every 100 meters. So if you should go no more than 2 stations, walking is better. Because you spend all your time under ground and seing nothing.

When you visit Toronto, Ontario you have to go up the CN Tower or take in a Blue Jays game. There is a ton of different activities to do in TO and it is huge. When you fly into Ontario at the main airport (Pearson) you are on the outskirts of Toronto. Basically a shuttle bus into TO or a taxi is the only way to get from the airport to the downskirts.

When travelling to Toronto from Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville or Mississauga, why get stuck on the highway? Travel to your nearest GO Train station and travel stress free to Union Station. From there, you can get on TTC subways or busses and travel the city without dealing with the insane traffic. I highly recommend getting a day pass for TTC travel, especially if you're going to be taking the transit system multiple times in a day - in the end, it can work out much cheaper than paying cash fares.

Go visit the Steamwhistle brewery, it's just behind the Blue Jays Stadium, you can get drunk for free there.
