Traveling with Children in Ontario
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
We visited alot when I was a kid to see family- and the experimental farm is a great place to take kids. Also, the war museum is pretty cool

Windsor, Ontario, Canada
If you're a 19 year old kid living around Detroit then Windsor should be your favorite city for obvious reasons.

Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada
Serious sightseeing in Niagara Falls happens at the Horeshoe Falls on the Canadian side... feels like you can touch the water as it goes over the cliff, and great waterside dining at the Table Rock restaurant (where I worked for a summer as a kid). Parking is a problem (especially on sunny days) so you're best to park up top and take the cable car down to the falls.

Definitely should go and see the polar bears. If you are planning to swim in the set pool you will be highly disappointed as it is a kiddy pool. Unless you have kids you are better off going into the viewing area.

Burlington, Ontario, Canada
Depending on what time of the year you go, the Vermont Maple Festival is a good option, especially if you have kids. It tends to take place in late April and includes contests, a parade, arts and crafts, face painting a many other activities. You can also head down to Lake Champlain and go for a boatride.

I suggest going in the fall if you are going because the colours of the leaves on the trees is simply beautiful.

Huntsville, Ontario, Canada
It's a great get-away from the city because it is quiet and relaxing. Moreover, the Deerhurst Resort is amazing! (a little pricey though) The resort provides a lot of activities at your disposal, such as kayaking, swimming, hiking, as well as night shows indoors. There's a mini beach at one end of the resort which is connected to Lake Peninsula. The overall atmosphere is calm and the staff are friendly.

Beerbistro is a must visit for anyone who loves beer with food. Too much time and effort has been spent on pairing wine with food, when what one really wants is a beer. At Beer Bistro, they use their pallets to choose which beers got best with each meal. An AMAZING selection of beers (and their Frites are great, too)! Their lunch menu is reasonably priced for those on a budget.

The Bata Shoe Museum is well worth the time and ticket price. Even for those who are not shoe lovers will enjoy this walk through history. This stop is filled with histrical shoe facts, preservation information, artwork (in shoe form), and of course shoes!
