Montreal Dos and Don'ts
Travel Tips for Dos and Don'ts in MontrealMontreal, Quebec, Canada Really nice city with lots of nightlife activities during summer (Festival Juste pour rire, Local Gay Pride, etc). Corner of St-Catherine Street and St-Denis street is the place to be (really hot and fun). People is really friendly and from all classes. Visit Park Mont-Royal, Biodome, Jardin Botanique (if you like flowers), Stade Olympique has nothing special but a great view but a bit expensive...) and if you like attractions go to La Ronde (Ile Saint-Helene). Finish at night by a dinner near the Vieux-Port (old Montréal) or by a hockey game at the Molson Center ;) Good tip? (+1) Montreal, Quebec, Canada Overall Montreal is a very clean city. If you enjoy good food, it's definitely a great place to visit. There are lots of small coffee shops and espresso shops that will make you forget all about Starbucks, or even your local underground coffee bar. While their Chinatown is fairly small, Montreal has some great Chinese and Vietnamese restaurants. Good tip? (0) Montreal, Quebec, Canada Some of the best restaurants ! Iranian + Lebanese just to name a few. I would love to go back for the restaurants alone. Very clean for a large city...great for walking + using the metro. It is fun to try to practice your French. If you speak Parisian French, some locals may cut you off + choose to converse in American (try adding a little "quack" to your accent...sounds like it is from the voice box more than the front of the mouth; does that make sense?). Our hosts were happy to humour all attempts to speak French, coaching me on the differences. Good tip? (0) Saint-Michel, Quebec, Canada Is montreal!!!! what else you want??? Good tip?
