  8232127Only 15 kms or so from Praia, Cidade Velha is worth the taxi ride to see the fort from above and the crashing waves below, plus an aspect of small-time life on Cape Verde. Not much to do really, but the everyday scenes and the friendly smiles of the people will be enough.
