George Town isn't a particularly popular destination within Cayman Islands, but it does receive a few travelers, most of whom make a brief stop to see the Boatswain Turtle Farm. Generally, travelers visiting the area stick to the more well-known places such as Grand Cayman. Have you been to George Town? Travel Tips from people who've been to George Town
We visited here while on a cruise and thoroughly enjoyed it.  If you too are cruising and have a day on Grand Cayman, rent a car!  You will have more freedom to see the island and see what you want.  It was a blast to drive there and the scenery is gorgeous.  Seven mile beach is one of the two most beautiful I've ever seen.

You must eat the local fare...and I don't mean the posh dining establishments! Go where the locals dine--the roadside stands or the local pub/bar where you can have conch fritters or conch burgers and a brew! You will spend less money and have better food!

Take a charter out to Stingray Island.  Feeding the rays (yes, they still had their stingers) was a memorable experience.  The island itself is very commercialized and expensive.  Find a beach and enjoy clear water.
