Located in the Brunswick Peninsula in the Straight of Magellan, Punta Arenas (Sandy Point)  is one of the southernmost cities in the world. (Ushuaia in Argentina is further south, but much smaller.) Punta Arenas is a gateway city to beautiful Chile attractions such as the stunning Torres del Paine National Park, as well as the Patagonia region (also shared with Argentina - see Argentina attractions). It is also a popular arrival point for those heading further southward to Antarctica.

Punta Areanas is where i was born and is the last see before the Antactic. Over here is very cold so u should only bring warm clothing but its worth coming here u cn go to sightseeing to the antactic glacier and what time animal live there. Here you interact with lots local and the food is great.

Efectivamente el toque europeo se nota. Pero aún mas, se nota el lento tiempo de provincia que inunda sus calles, donde almorzar fuera de hora es un imposible.
