Beijing Province History
Travel Tips for History of Beijing ProvinceBeijing, Beijing Province, China Beijing does a very good job at portraying the history of china. Beijing is all old school unlike Shanghi, from the square to great wall to forbiddin palace. Great place for single males as all the restraunts have "entertainers" and because of the exchange rate living expenses there is really low. Watch out for the kid beggers though, they hug on your leg and gets really annoying. Good tip? (0) Beijing, Beijing Province, China Beijing is awesome for Chinese history; The Great Wall, Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven... It's a terrific (flat) city for walking, or if you're brave, cycling. Just be careful around traffic; it is safer to jaywalk and trust your senses than the little green man. You must visit the hutongs and if you can, stay in the hostels there; they are quaint little pieces of history fast becoming trendy cafes and boutiques. Good tip? (0) Beijing, Beijing Province, China absolutely wonderful city.well worth the effort.so much culture and history in one city, 7 days was not long enough Good tip? (0) Beijing, Beijing Province, China One of my verey happy memories visiting Bijing. I live threouh history smell it see how mancan do to change his life. Hope to retern back to this great city Good tip? (0) Beijing, Beijing Province, China I spent 3 1/2 weeks in China, starting in Bejing and working my way down to Hong Kong. It was one of THE most memorable and remarkable trips I have ever taken. So fascinating; so many beautiful places; so much history; so crowded with people; so smog-filled.
These are a few health-tips which are meant to make your trip easier. No matter where you go in the China mainland, be certain you carry a supply of Cipro and Immodium. If you have allergies, make sure you have an ample supply of your prescription medications. DO NOT drink the water or even let the water from the shower get in your mouth. Don't ever buy the water bottled by any American (or other) company, there in China or you will surely need the Immodium. The air quality is not good anytime and, because I was there during the summer, make sure you bring lightweight clothing, as it is impossibly humid from June to September.
Everybody should go at least once if possible, for the experience. It's fantastic! Good tip? (0) Bradt Travel Guides |
