Chongqing - the "fog city" is a true chinese city. Large, full of life, full of dirt, and full of these little, typical Chinese things to discover. Chongqing is also the starting point for Yongtze cruises, which is definitely something to recommend.

Be careful with boat reservations for the Jangcy river trip. Locals confuse A.M. and P.M., so sometimes you are forced to wait 12 hours... And better check boats before signing onto trip. Rats, mice and rust is everywhere :\.
