Liaoning Province Travel Guide

Dalian is a great city to visit and possibly work in. I was sent there by my company, a small portal platform software company based in California, to visit and work with the team there. While there, my coworkers took me to two different western restaurants: Unome and the Brooklyn Bar. Both are outstanding since they were owned by Americans and the local wait staff speak very good English. Dalian doesn't have well known specialties and the local fare is decent. There are plenty of Muslim restaurants where I lived and work the High Tech Industrial Zone.

Food in Dalian means seafood. My favorite place for this is the Tiantianyugang near Zhonshang square. Beware, there's more then one Tiantianyugang in Dalian, but that one is the best. You can see your seafood still live in the aquariums and get to pick which ones you want. If you know some chinese you can even discuss how you want it.

Restaurant is opposite the coffeeshop/hospital.

This is where I come from, the northeast part in China. If you believe I'll treat you well in Dalian, that's not a factual statement. I am so conservative, which means I only know a few good places to go. E.g. bars, beaches, shopping centres and my school ---Maple Leaf
