Lao Shan is a nice place to hike outside of Qingdao. There are a few dirt trails and the scenery is nice right near the ocean. Visit some of the waterfals!

Not too crowded, good length boulevard, nice locals, good priced accomodation to be found, nearby the big dolfinarium/museum as well.
