Travel Tips from people who've been to Pudong
Pudong is a rather new area of Shanghai, where back in 2000 nothing but a few buildings were standing and now it is hard to find a virgin spot. Pudong is on the east bank of the river Huangpu. Stay in the Shangri-La Pudong and you might have a magnificent view of the Bund (colonial Shanghai). The hotel is located next to one of China, maybe Asia's biggest shopping centers and the well known Shanghai Pearl Tower is just a few steps away. To get to Shanghai on the other side of the river, take either taxi, subway or the boat. In Pudong you can find the still (for how long?) tallest hotel in the world: Hyatt Regency in Jinmao Tower. There is a platform almost on top (something like 80th floor), from where you have an awesome view over Shanghai and Pudong if there is no smog
