The Eerie shadowy home of the Giant Panda, such a valuable symbol of the PRC's prestige that Wolong Nature Reserve even manage to keep up with 'western' animal rights standards. The keepers are stern, proud and hardworking, i'd reccomend learning a little chinese before volunteering for any long periods. DO NOT make the mistake I did and pay an extortionate amount to a third party companies to visit here. Wolong is half a days bus ride out of Chengdu, and they will be happy to accept payment on the door.
