China 7 Days

From Hong Kong, take a bus to Guangzhou. Lots of cheap places for travelers to stay. Spend a day in the city -- lots to see. Then travel by bus to Guilin and by boat on the river Li to Yangshou. Stay at an inexpensive guest house for 2-3 days. Rent bikes and ride around, then head back to Guanghzhou. You will have seen the best of China's beautiful countryside and some fascinating city life without a lot of time spent traveling.
