0439Traffic in and around Bucaramanga is hilariously dense. Even if the city is much smaller than, say, Bangkok, traffic gets stuck quite in the same way, with bikes and motorbikes criss crossing lanes betreen busses, trucks and the like and making things worse for all. the scenery around the city is breathtaking (towards el canyon de chicamocha) and there's some nice hostals to stay.
