Travel Tips from people who've been to Santa Rosa de Cabal
Santa Rosa de Cabal (a town 45 minutes away from Pereira, Risaralda) boasts one of the best hot springs in Colombia (they are called "termales". It's definitely worth seeing. It's also extremely cheap (I paid $20,000 colombian pesos -or 10 dollars) for a whole day in the springs (there are hostals/hotels in the area if you decide to stay). In order to get there, you need to catch a colorful bus called "chiva" at the town's market place. This ride is an adventure in itself as you can travel on the chiva's roof top for about 20 minutes (avoiding branches and all that stuff). Moderate temperature. Nice food. Great views (waterfalls, creeks). A must-see in the Eje Cafetero. Good tip? (0) Ask a travel question about Santa Rosa de Cabal
