if you really like to stray off track and visit places never found in tours, consider going to a typical music concert in a "maloka"! While exploring Villa de Leiva, we came accross a small advertisement in the main plaza for an interesting seeming concert. It was held waaaaaaaaaay up in a mountain, in a smaaaaall dome shaped shack. Luckily, we were with a local so when the time came to actually find the concert, it wasn't so difficult!
The music was of Colombian aborigines so don't expect to hear any hot music! However, the locale and the experience as a whole makes this truely unforgetable! :)
