052The basilica is the only really cool thing to see in this city. At nights it's lit up and look very pretty. During semana santa (the week of easter), there are processions throughout the city. Also, on August 1, many people from all over Costa Rica journey to this basilica for religious purposes and the population of the city triples in size.
