Getting to drake can be quite a journey. Flying from San Jose is one option, or, my personal favorite, get a bus from San Jose to Palmar Norte, the taxi to Sierpe. From there get a boat taxi down the Rio Sierpe, and out to Drake. Go to Gabriella's for a ceviche once you get there. She runs a soda out of her house up the hill. It's a small place so it shouldn't be too hard to find. If you walk south down the beach there's plenty of paths that lead to some beautiful little secret coves. We found a nice one and spent the night on the beach. It's a great place to do night hikes too. Plenty of wildlife around. Do be careful though as there are also plenty of venomous snakes :)
