  074If you are going to Santa Teresa/Mal Pais area in Costa Rica, it is advisable to bring some cash and try not to rely too much on cards. This actually applies to a lot of the Nicoya Peninsula. There are ATMs and a few banks, but found out the hard way that ATMs go down often, banks are closed at weird hours, and sometimes the ATMs are not compatible with some US and foreign banks. So it would be wise to take out money before arriving on the Peninsula. Good tip? (0)  04022The Tropico Latino is a fantastic place to stay with beautiful grounds, a security guard, and great beach locale. The restaurant is also good, but be prepared to shell out some dough.
