Bol Travel Guide

I have spent many long summers here as a child and it would be the place I call home above Sarajevo.

It has a myriad of cobble stone alleyways, gorgeous beaches, safe waters...and the walk from Bol to Zlatni Rat is a favourite of mine. You can smell the pines.

oh, this is easy.
bol, on the island of brać/split region is most famous for its toungelike sandy beach called zlatni rat. it is also a very famous windsurf colony.
in the last couple of years it also has a wta tennis tournamen called bol open held on courts next to the sea.
the village itself has all you need to survive.or not? actually to many places to spend money:-))))
all is at hand -  bars, shops, hotels, apartments.....
regarding food, croatian coast is famous for perfect wines, olive oil, sea food and lamb, mostly prepared on open fire. so if you like a nice sip of wine after a good dinner, u r on the right spot!
you can fly in to the split airport, and then take the ferry to the island brać. there is no need to bring to much luggage along cause there r very good shops in split and on the island.
so travel light!
this spot is ideal for all tipes of turists - those who want to take it easy or those seeking adventure and action.

the most important in bol is the golden horn beach, which is the most wonderfull beach in south croatia, you should not miss to walk along the promenade, check the unique stone houses along the beach and go for a coffee to the natural harbour of bol, you just need about 20 minutes to walk from the harbour to the golden horn, so its very easy to discover the spot. Hotels: Hotel Bretanide 4*+ is the Nr. 1 Hotel in Bol, also nice are Hotel Borak 4* or Hotel Elaphusa 5* just a few meters away from each other. In Bol you find some very nice Konoba's - typical croatian restaurants, just try it, its delicious and very typical.
