Dubrovnik Dos and Don'ts
Travel Tips for Dos and Don'ts in DubrovnikDubrovnik, Dalmatia Region, Croatia Its easy to see why Shaw described Dubrovnik the Pearl of the Adriatic. It is a beautiful and romantic destination for all you love birds out there!! The old town is amazing, the city walls are great and well worth walking at least once. If you like seafood you'll love Dubrovnik, you can also find an authentic Bosian restaurant that serves up mean kebabs. The people are friendly, the weather is usually great and the architecture is cool. You can take a boat out to Elphite Islands that are very pretty and if you fancy swimming or mountain biking on the Islands it there for you to do. Local beers and wines are quite tasty too!! Good tip? (+2) Dubrovnik, Dalmatia Region, Croatia Stay in a sobe (guesthouse) to get to know the locals better as you will probably be sharing a suite with the renter's grandmother. From your sobe walk into the Old city via the road that runs along the sea. There are great views and awesome swimming/diving spots off the cliffs. On the same road you will find an outdoor theatre that shows late night movies with English subtitles - a great night out if you're sharing it with a friend or two. In the old city, be careful not to slip on the streets as they are all made of polished white marble!! Grab yourself a gellato (arguably better than you would find in Italy) and walk the enormous wall surrounding the city - you will find some stunning views guaranteed. After you finish your walk, try your hand at jumping on the small white marble figure on the side of the wall (you'll know what I'm talking about when you get there). The point is to jump on it and try to rotate without falling off. Take your time enjoying this city. In my opinion, it is the most beautiful and kept together old quarter in all Europe. Good tip?
