You can take a boat out to Elphite Islands that are very pretty and if you fancy swimming or mountain biking on the Islands it there for you to do. Local beers and wines are quite tasty too!! Good tip? (+2) Dubrovnik, Dalmatia Region, Croatia eat good and pretty cheap (but remeber we're talking about Dubrovnik) in "Mea Culpa pizzeria" Old City walls are must see.Bring a lot of water. Interaction with locals is easy, most of the people speak english so there will be no problems. Good tip? (0) Dubrovnik, Dalmatia Region, Croatia What a city. It is not a case if all cruises stop here. You have to climb to reach it, it is on the see but surrounded by mountains. Not the best place to make affairs, but is so nice. Again a place founded by people of venice, and in fact is something unic. People is strange, anyway. I slept in the home of a old family, they gave us their bedroom, sleeping in the dining room... They say always something like "moosny"... Not the right place if you need the beach... mainly rocks. Good tip? (0) Dubrovnik, Dalmatia Region, Croatia When entering the city yo may see people hopping on a stone coming out the wall. its known as good luck if you can stand on it for more than 3 seconds. sounds easy? well its not that easy.
good fun none the less Good tip? (0) Dubrovnik, Dalmatia Region, Croatia Be sure there is always people in hurry and a lot of tourists...don't forget to visit the old town, that's a must... Good tip? (0) Dubrovnik, Dalmatia Region, Croatia Dubrovnik - the city of a unique political and cultural history, of world-famous cultural heritage and beauty (inscribed on the List of World Heritage Sites by UNESCO) - is one of the most attractive and famous cities of the Mediterranean. Apart from its outstanding natural beauties and well-preserved cultural and historical heritage, Dubrovnik also offers high-quality visitor opportunities. It is also the city of hotels, of high ecological standards and tourist programs, and is equally attractive in all seasons. Good tip? (0) Dubrovnik, Dalmatia Region, Croatia There is not much nightlife in Dubrovnik. There are many nice bars but no night clubs. You have fuego that is always to crowded and lazareti which is a place that plays electronic music. If you come in the summer, ask around about the open air parties because they are the best Dubrovnik offers but tourists usually don't hear of them Good tip? Good tip? (+2) Dubrovnik, Dalmatia Region, Croatia Near the port there are many restuarants. The fish dishes, squid, prawns etc..is some of th best food i`ve ever had. Its a good price too, but to save more money, try to find somewhere off teh track a bit, it`ll be cheaper and just as good. Good tip? (0) Dubrovnik, Dalmatia Region, Croatia Old dubrovnik castle, which is just next to the biggest yacht pier is a must see place ! Its over (afair) 500 years old, but was recently renovated and looks fabolous, I had my yaw on the floor. Inside the castle you can find many luxury brands, souvenir shops, cafees, bars etc. All of them looks really stylish and have similar, traditional croatian look. When visiting this spot in the evening you can run across many young male/females looking for date (it's hard to describe it in words, but they are literally everywhere). Dont bring your car, parking there might drive you crazy, as it takes lots of time. Take a cab or rent a scooter which I would suggest as it's a hilly city with lots of downhills and hillocks and makes two wheels experience a real fun ! Visit one of the bakeries on the hills and wait for fresh buns prepared while you wait in line. Great smell :) :) Stay away from seaport, cuz its really stinks like a dead fish. Good tip? (0) Dubrovnik, Dalmatia Region, Croatia During sightseeing on City Walls bring liquids with you because it is very exhausting (especially during summer time) and prices of water/juices/ice-creams on the walls are equal to the gold... Good tip? (0) Dubrovnik, Dalmatia Region, Croatia Get a nice drink wherever in Dubovnik, but get your food a little bit apart from the central city (walking distance). Got a half kilo fish (Dorade, Goldbrasse, Dorado, in mexican Huachinango) with wunderful fresh vegetable and potatoes in olive oil a bit outside. Well, plastic chairs, that was a bit hard. But the food was excellent. Just leave the city countryside, look for an ugly garden restaurant with a beautyful blackheared woman, which will serve a (free) aperitiv. Good tip?
