If you go to Umag on a small budget, you should know that Umag is very expensive, especially in July cause of ATP tournament, but that's the best time to go party there. For nightlife I would recomend Daylight night bar not far from hotel Sol Istra Garden, or Macumba beach bar 5 km in Novigrad direction from Umag. And be carefull what you eat in a hotel even if it has 4 stars, sometimes they serve old food.

I was staying in Italy when i drove a rent a car to trieste, italy and then through slovenia and too umag where i had dinner on the beach by sunset. I recommend you do the same if you know whats good for you.
