Travel Tips for Transportation in Cuba

Maria la Gorda, Western Cuba, Cuba
When you arrive in Cuba and you want to visit the (only) hotel in Maria la Gorda you better make a reservation immediately! We combined a visit to Aquas Claras (1 night), nice horseback riding, with a unbelievable, unforgettable ride to Maria La Gorda (Maria the fat).
A stay there will make you very happy. Quiet, nice beaches, only the food is not very well but I think that is a problem in Cuba.

Enjoy

Havana, Havana & Surrounding Region, Cuba
Walking is a great way to see the parts of the city you wouldn't normally see. Otherwise taxis are cheap ... and no trip to Havana is complete without at least one ride in a 1950s American car.

Varadero, Central Cuba, Cuba
Don't go there! It's boring and there are no locals living there, it's seriously nothing but a way to expensive assembly point for tourists. And you don't have to fly all the way to Cuba to get tanned, you can do that in a tanning booth at home- and Cuba has a lot more to offer. Better visit Havana or other cities, but be carful if you're planning on renting a car, because there are no road signs in areas where tourist usually don't go, so don't forget to bring a map!
