Cuba What to Expect

There are a lot of kids who want something... you have to give them cloths, pens, books...

This is an authentic experience of small town Cuba...like Matanzas a bit, but on a smaller scale... take a ride through the city on a horse-driven carriage, mix and interact with the locals, check out the quaint cars parked here and there, the cigar-chomping men and soccer-playing kids amidst them, and walk around the city to know what Cuba is outside of Havana and the tourist cities...

Children up to 12 years old receive a 50% discount on Viazul buses and most museuns.

If possible don't bring children on a trip to Cuba.There a a few outlets for children but not by far of what they are accostomed in the West.

If staying in Varadero it is very worth your while to make the trip to Havana for a real taste of what Cuba is about.

Vinales is one of the more touristy places in Cuba. Be sure to ask for the prices before going on activities. A 45 min evening walk in a finca (farm) cost us 15 CUC (about USD17) each!

Be sure to go horseback riding (5 CUC per hour) and visit Cuevas Santo Tomas, the 2nd largest cave system in the Americas

A superb place to stay in Cuba. The peninsula Ancon is just 15 minutes away from the colonial town of Trinidad. Bonus: you will be far from the greatest mass of tourists in places like Varadero...

Haban is a great city to go and Cuba is the best hispanic country you can travel to. Cubans have so much happiness in the soul, they are always happy to help you. The food is amazing. Culture is very rich. Beaches are gorgeous. A+ Country.

Very poor city but the people is very nice! There is very much thinks to visit!
