Travel Tips from people who've been to Southeastern Denmark
Kalundborg is an industrial city [large town].  From my experience, most of the inhabitants are down-home, rural, folksy people.  Think farmers and fisherman.  That's not to say everyone is a farmer of fisherman.  Just, that is the they are very easy going, hometown people.  I would joke with them that if anyone wanted to commit a crime, they would be kind enough to call THE policeman to schedule an apointment.  As far as accomidations and vacation posibilities, there is an excellent restaurant in Mullerup Havn, south of Kalundborg.  Above the restaurant are a few rooms.  The restaurant was great and the rooms were comfortable.  There are also vacation cabins associated with the restaurant.  I would recommend against the cabins in winter time.  The walk from the cabins to the restaurant and parking area is very cold in the winter.

My very personal image of roskilde. I was going out of Kopanhagen via this town. And it happened to be during the days of the famous festival. It was raining cats and dogs (as usual) and I was the only person trying to get out the town to hitchhike, while rest of the crowd were coming in. I've go lost three times and got completly wet. Among all this huge herd of people no local to ask the direction. Finally after three hours past I did find and went away. Survived! As i said it's very personal image
