las galeras is an adorable and tiny beach town! my favorite hotels are Todo Blanco and Villa Serena. definitely stay at Villa Serena if you're on your honeymoon (my husband and I did!). people at the hotel are extremely nice and helpful. ask them to call one of the small boats to go to Rincon beach, considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. food places closer to the hotels are expensive (several small restaurants owned by foreigners). but you can also look for the local small restaurants which have excellent food at very low prices.
