Dominican Republic History

A beautiful and interesting city, the oldest in thre New World. Plenty of architectural clues to its history - I recommend a visit to the Alcazar de Colon, the interior accurately reflects the period. You will probably be hassled by people to act as guides if you are on your own, this isn't a bad thing as they don't expect a lot of money and they will take you to areas you may not have found on your own.
