Bring USD, its easier to know how much things cost if you ask for the USD price. Vendors that do not have a price on an object will usually bargain. Everyone will try to get you to bargain. Tours can be expensive but some are worth it so make sure you bring extra money for tours or bring your credit cards.

If you like some adventure don't miss diving with sharks and dolphins. Its very nice adventure, and a nice 1 day excursion.
And also do not miss to visit the Isola Saona which is very nice natural park!

Hotel RIU Palace *****, it's a very good and nice hotel on coast of Punta Cana. It's very nice made, clean rooms, good stuff and good food. They also have 5 different restaurants with A la cart cousine!
