Travel Tips for Dos and Don’ts in Eritrea

Asmara, Eritrea
Inhabitants are very polite and respectful, especially the elderly who will greet you in the streets with a "buon giorno" in memory of the colonial past. If you speak Italian you will have the oportunity to learn more from the people.
A visit to the vegetable market is a great experience, smell, colors, you can't do without it.
Rent a bike and cycle around the city is the best, you are closer to the people, can stop where and when you want and if you are not the sporty type: the city is almost flat! Bad point is that you will have to breathe the black smoke coming out of the local buses.
