1041662One of the best things if you visit this place is to take a boat trip along the Saimaa canal.You can also(I recomand it)cruise across the border into Russsia to Vyborg and if you return the same day with the same cruise no visa is needed.Do take your passport !Check for details a week in advance.

0153Lappeenranta makes a great place for a relaxing summer holiday. Nearby is a holiday park with various sized cabins available for reasonable prices. The Lomokeskus Saimaanraanta. This is located directly on the beautiful Lake Saimaa, and offers sauna, a restaurant, and lots of peace.

0146A very small village in the middle of lakes. We stayed there next to a lake with an extenal Saunahouse and a small rowboat. Just to relax and enjoy nature. That was great.
