450 km East of Paris, Strasbourg is accessible by TGV from Paris in 2 hours. Dominated by the steeple of its famous gothic cathedral, it is a commercial and university centre open to foreign students (20%, 100 nationalities). It is the only non capital city (with Geneva and New-York) to be the seat of an international organization: the European Parliament. great to explore the older part of Strasbourg it's really worth it. Espacially during the christmas market. Lots of nice and not to expensice restraunts around the chapel in the older part of Strasbourg. Special accommodations possibilities, have been on a boat!

The street trams are really silent. Always watch out, or you'll get run over!!!!
