Beautiful and calm city. Definitely should see the European Parliament, Cathédrale, Petite France and take a cruise on the Ill river. Great tramway system; efficient and clean. Definitely different than other French cities and it can get pretty hot in here in spring. 

Make a boattrip around the city. Great opportunity to orientate yourself and to see all the sights. Starting just a 2 minutes walk south of the cathedral.

The fastest way to move in strasbourg is either by bike (amazing infrastructure for that) or by Tram. The Trams usually don't stop at traffic lights, the system is so made that if Tram passes they automatically change colour to green! One other strategy to decrease cars.. .only if tickets were cheaper....
