Bordeaux, Aquitaine, France LA FRANCE a beautiful country with a beatiful city like bordeaux. its a great place for sailing kite surfing windsurfing and aquatique sports, the city has some historique buildings and the people are very nice. Good tip? (0) Perigueux, Aquitaine, France Cheapest thing to do in Perigueux is to walk through the ancient city center. At lunch time (12-2), find a restaurant at one of the squares, near the market; they fill up pretty quick with the native french people though. Good tip? (0) Bayonne, Aquitaine, France You must see the five-day Fêtes de Bayonne which starts on the first Wednesday of August and attracts people from across the Basque Country and beyond. Parades, music, dance, fireworks, food and drink all feature in the celebrations. But you have to dress in red and white(be sue you have a white t-shirt and a red andana aroun tìyour neck!) Good tip? (0) Biarritz, Aquitaine, France Biarritz is one of the most popular city of basque cost. Near of the spanish border, with his own culture and language, the people are very proud of their region. It's the rivierra of the Ouest cost of France. Beautiful landscapes, sea and sun!!! Good tip? (0) Biarritz, Aquitaine, France great for gay and lesbian travelers, lots of clubs. Fun for gambling and surfing too...casino on the beach and great waves! Big surf culture. Very laid back, good shopping, great eating. Very good sight seeing. Good tip? Good tip? Good tip? (0) Bordeaux, Aquitaine, France Bordeaux is a very nice town, I lived there for six months. If you like to go out and like latin music, check out the Calle Ocho in the Rue du Loup. It's quite small and hot, but the atmosphere is amazing! For just grabbing a pint, I really enjoyed the Houses of Parliament, an English pub in the rue du parlement. The rue Ste-Catherine is Bordeaux' shopping street and is the longest pedestrian shopping street in Europe. If you don't find what you're looking for there, you won't find it anywhere. A very nice calm place to sit and enjoy the surroundings is at the hôtel de ville, and also the place Gambetta. The city has a lot of public transport (trams busses), but most things are within walking range. Good tip? The entire waterfront is filled with tents of local wineries, beautiful orchestra music and the best fireworks display show I've ever seen. Just fabulous! Good tip? (0) Oloron-Sainte-Marie, Aquitaine, France Oloron Sainte-Marie is a small village in the Pyrennee mountains in southern France. An ideal starting place for hiking through these mountains. Good tip?
