Travel Tips from people who've been to Saint-Malo
St-Malo is one of the coolest places I've visited. It's anold-school medival fortress of a town, complete with a number og 'portes' that give you entree into the city. Fantastic crepes (Brittany's speciality), or, if you prefer something savoury, 'les galettes' (savoury crepes). I love galettes du ble noir (buck wheat, I believe they're made with?). Good tip? (0) The coastline is definetly worth walking around, perhaps go swimming in the could Atlantis (thats fun!!), but look out for the tide, so you won't get caught on a desert island when the water rises... Good tip? (0) If your traveling just for a day trip, try to go there when the tide is low so you can walk to some of the nearby islands. But be careful of the tide! It's fastest rising in the world there!! Good tip? (0)
