in Fr it's no problem to get to Bourges by train,from other country you should first get to Paris and then from Paris Austerlitz take train to Bourges but sometimes with change in Vierzon.
Bourges it's really beautiful medieval city.I've spent there one year and it was really amazing!like all france,it's not chepa to eat in bars or restaurants but if you've got some savings you can eat really good things,if not- close to the city center there's leclerc supermarket:).
nightlife-it's quite calm during nights- but pubs they're full of people and private houses ful of parties:)
sightseeing-there's one of the biggest cathedrals in France and the widest in France!
palais jacques coeur,palaces and houses from XV and XVI century.
really rich cultural life(theatres,operas,ballets,concerts) with the most famous- PRINTEMPS DE BOURGES!
activities-for students cheap swimming poolmyou can join basketball,volleyball teams.really great contemporary dance and ballet lessons in Conservatoire de Musique et Danse de Bourges!!!
