Mantet is not really a tourist destination, and it's among France's less visited places. Travelers passing through the area usually stick to more popular destinations such as Carcassonne, Perpignan, and Montpellier. Know something about Mantet? Travel Tips from people who've been to Mantet
Incredibly small town on top of the Pyrenees, ideal if you want to go really deep in to the mountains. only one street big, but some families there rent sleepingplaces to tourists. although wild camping is illegal in france, you could put up your tent somewhere there, but make sure it's somewhere in the bushes. the meadows are of the villagers, and they don't like people camping there (they want to save the grass for their sheep)
if you want to camp their, be sure you won't be afraid at night as the storm often bursts open right above you :) (you're very high in the mountains there)

Mantet is very little village in South-France at the Pyrennees. Only few hours from Spanish border. Unbelievable beautiful view. Perfect place for hiking, climbing, horseback riding etc. Day trips to Perpignan, Olette (i always remember the market place there) or even over boarder to Spain or Andorra.
And this is the place to stay http://girada.free.fr/   If you ever go there, give Mr. Adriaensen huge kiss from me
