Best Time to Visit Languedoc-Roussillon
Montpellier, Languedoc-Roussillon, France
Great little city. Lived there for 5 years. Lots of young people, very rich cultural life, especially the Dance festival, the Internationales de la Guitare festival, the Festival des Fanfares and the Fete de la Musique (summer solstice every summer). 10km from the beach, nice weather pretty much all the time, probably the best quality/price ratio for food I've seen anywhere. Awesome place. Probably my favorite restaurant is l'Escalier. Cheap and good. Another good one is La Cheneraie, same street. For hanging out and having a drink, great atmosphere at the Bec de Jazz, Fitzpatrick, Rebuffy, Roule ma Poule, Le Petit Nice in Place Jean Jaures, and many others. Nice coffee/tea shop is Toast and Tea behind St Roch church.

Languedoc-Roussillon Tourist Information
Narbonne, Languedoc-Roussillon, France
When traveling through France and stopping at reststops bring the following items: toilet paper, antibacterial hand wipes, lysol, bleach, antibacterial surface wipes, and the ability to hover either a disgusting toilet or a hole in the ground with two places to place your feet. I am not fond of France it's dirty!! Make sure you can speak enough french to order food they are nicer and probably don't spit in you food if you at least make an effort to speak their language. Thank you high school french!!

Uzes, Languedoc-Roussillon, France
A beautiful town easily combined with a trip to Pont-du-Gard. A lovely Chateau (Duche d'Uzes) with stunning views from the top of the tower (only for the fit or foolhardy!). A lovely town centre with many very solid buildings with solid shady stone arcades. The Cathedral (slighlty outside the centre) has an unusual and beautiful riound windowed tower, called the Fenestrelle.

Uzes, Languedoc-Roussillon, France
Go walking in and around Uzes - there are some really nice small backroads connecting farms surrounding the town with lots of willows and cyprus trees offering pleasant shade. If you go in August you might pass some fig trees that can be picked for their delicious fruit.

Worth visiting, but you'll look like a nerd if you carry the Da Vinci Code. Just open your eyes and don't read
