Travel Tips from people who've been to Caen
Hey pimps,
Ok, so I stayed in the city of Caen, while visiting France while I was in the Army. What can I say. The women are hot as hell. Even if I can't understand what they are saying. If you travel there you don't have to be afraid. There is always someone that speaks English, and people will generally help you out.
The cooliest thing I like about Caen, is the have convience store/ vending machines. Now let me explain that. You go up to the store, and it has a long clear window, with a bunch of products. It has a number and price. You put your money in the machine on the outside of the building and like a vending machine you get your product. How cool is that?
Well, a bunch of drunk, horny, Army guys in a foreign country that are trying to get laid, and they can't speak the native language; what do you think they do? Well, I will tell you. We buy booze from that store, and a box on condoms. And start walking down the street (at nite), and start shaking the condoms at every hot chick we see. LMAO. Good tip? (0) Château de Caen, along with the art museum in the courtyard, is a great place to take a stroll after some serious shopping and you get to see some of the "skyline" and the wonderful Église Saint-Pierre. If you have some time while in Caen, you should rent a car, and drive to Bayeux to see the tapestry, the American & German cemeteries including Les plages du Débarquement and, of course, Mont St. Michel. Good tip? (0) Caen, in Normandy france is a very old region, with a lot of history. Keep your eyes open when travelling through. The church where Jeanne d"arcx is buried, although ugly, is worth a visit. The old catherdral, with it's damage from the Normandy landings is much more impressive though. Enjoy the walk through what old sections survive. Good tip? (0)
