Deauville-les-Bains Travel Guide

If you enter Deauville coming from Trouville you pass by some run down the mill cafés. They might give you the wrong idea, because Deauville is not run down the mill it is a very sophisticated town. I just passed through there one evening and decided to go for a stroll. The centre is very nice, but I wouldn't recommend staying there if you are on a tight budget. The restaurants are a bit pricey, the hotels are grand and obviously built to impress and the some of the shops sell items that cost more than my short 4-day trip to Normandy. Still the beach is big and really well kept.

Gorgeous town! It looks as if it's taken out of a fairy-tale! Incredible fish too, just go to any place and have some fish. Citizens are very friendly and warm, although the place itself is not particularly warm (not in May anyway).
