Boulogne-sur-Mer has a very nice youth hostel. The bars aren't that good, but with some booze, you can have a lot of fun at the beach at night.

Nice city with historic center. You can see the ferries arriving at the marina. Nausicaa is also very famous to visit. It's nice but not great...
