About Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur Planning a Trip to Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur
Avignon, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France Beautiful town, famous for its medieval popes and, more recently, as a subject in the French children's song "Sur le Pont d'Avignon" (I only mention it because I couldn't get it out of my head the whole time I was there. So annoying!) Definitely best time to visit is the summer - while the internationally famous Avignon Festival is on. Great theatre and dance performances - both as part of the official festival and throughout the town streets. Good tip?
