03415You could do far worse than find yourself in beautiful Vaison-la-Romaine, situated not very far away from the Mount Ventoux in Southern France. In fact, it's got it all: very impressive Roman ruins, a beautiful and sunny location and good food and wine. As always, it's best to avoid these kind of places during the height of the tourist season (and also in deepest Winter coming to think of it), but if you're in the vicinity, it's a must-see. It's not very difficult to find, but you will need a car. Pack in a few vineyards along the way and find out why the Romans already loved this place.
