Rangiroa is one of the largest atolls in the world after Kwajalein in the Marhsall Islands and Huvadhu in the Maldives, and it offers some of the best diving in the world.  It is common to see dolphins playing in the waters alongside numerous other species of aquatic life including green turtles, manta rays and various species of shark including hammerhead and tiger sharks.  It is here too that the Tahitian black pearls are often produced.   There are daily connections to Atoll Rangiroa from Tahiti.

Very nice and quiet place to go. There are only 2 hotels, 2 small villiges and few divecenters. Diving is excellent. I saw Grandhammer shark, lots of white and black tip sharks...

The secret is out. The most pristine aquatic ecology I have ever seen. An amazing place to be stranded for a week.
