Travel Tips for Transportation in Baden-Wurttemberg RegionKehl, Baden-Wurttemberg Region, Germany A small German town on the Rhine across the border from France, can be easily accessed by bus or better still, use the pathway to walk or cycle into Germany. You won't find any indication that you're in Germany though except the graffitied swastika on a wall as soon as you arrive. Things are definitely cheaper than in Strasbourg. Oh yeah, a lot of people speak French here (duhh)... Good tip? (0) Karlsruhe, Baden-Wurttemberg Region, Germany That's where I grew up, I spend so much time in my neighbourhood, and I know that the public transport is outstanding. Good tip? (0) Freiburg im Breisgau, Baden-Wurttemberg Region, Germany Freiburg in Breisgau is a wonderful small city. It's a university town with a ca 30% of the population students.
It's a true middleages town grown to city and has a lot of old houses and churches, esp the cathedral in the marketplace.
Don't miss out on dining in the beergarden on the hillside overlooking the city. Good tip? (0) Friedrichshafen, Baden-Wurttemberg Region, Germany There's a great airport used by ryanair in Friedrichshafen that connects to a number of cities in Europe, check it out! =) Good tip? (0) Tubingen, Baden-Wurttemberg Region, Germany Tübingen is a lovely university town, so depending on what you're looking for in Germany, it's a lovely town to visit, though if you're staying in Germany for a year abroad, I recommend a larger town (like Freiburg im Breisgau) for more nightlife, music and overall socializing opportunities. Getting around by bus is quite easy and there are night buses that run until 3am on the weekends. =) Good tip? (0) Top Cities in Baden-Wurttemberg Region |
