Tallest cathedral in the world (I think) is located in Ulm. You can see it from the train as you ride into the town.  Little German town so don't expect too much english being spoken, but there is enough to get by.

If you are into architecture and old buildings, Ulm is a place to visit to see the cathedral.

A town on the border between Bavaria and Baden-Württenberg which houses a large cathedral with one center spire. It is possible to climb to the top and get a good view of the city. Some nice restaurants available as well.

If you re going to Ulm take your umbrella with you. If you go on the top of Ulm's cathederal, do not forget your camera)you can see the whole region from there!))
