  002Bayreuth is famous for it's "Richard Wagner Festspiele" taking place every year in August. It is hard to get tickets (waiting time of 6-8 years) but in 2008 they introduced a public viewing at the "Volksfestplatz" for about 15000 visitors. You can easily get to Bayreuth via road and rail.
