Travel Tips from people who've been to Regensburg
Hi there meine Lieben!!! Or should I say servus :-)
It's quite small but very nice town with great things to do also out of the city, like biking along Danube. Like every town of Beyern the most important is to try all of these great bavarian beers!!! Mmm just above any compliment, they taste wonderfully and makes the life go better haha!!!
Another thing I just need to recomend, if You travel over there with a group get Bayern Ticket on the train station and You can share it with at least 4 other persons travelers and that will cost You only 5 euro per day for the regional trains, which is really fabulous thing :-)
Every south german city has it owns history which need to be touched by every single part of You, tastes, smells, hearing (also the singing cathedrals bells), touches.. If You have a chance try to get to Walhalla by bus close to Hauptbanhof, I wont tell You what is there but for sure it will surprise You :-)
Have a nice trip and enjoy Your beer!!! Cheers Xxx Good tip? (0) At the base of the bridge--on the Donau (Danube) is tiny "restaurant" which sells the local sausages you order them in "sets" and the bread they put on the table is on the honor system... but do share one with a duck! ;) L'Osteria is a trendy Italian eatery which has wonderful pizzas--but make a reservation they fill up fast and the wait is long! http://www.losteria.info/regensburg/regensburg.html Good tip? (0) If you're ever in the old city of Regensburg go to the historischer Wurst Küche where they serve the best Wursts with the good sweet mustard!! The restaurant it located right on the river and has a history that is as old as the city. And if you really like the mustard, go into the kitchen where they sell jars and tubs of it!!! Good tip? (0)
